Default Pricing flexibility

In looking through the demo and the documentation, I'm uncertain as to whether 68 Classifieds can allow me to set my pricing so that my customers can place a listing for free that lasts a fixed period of time, say one week, but can pay extra to have it last longer, or to renew it. Similarly, I want to offer one photo for free, but charge for extra.

Does 68 Classifieds give me this capability?

Thanks,
Tom

Well, yes and no.

You can create as many Ad Listing Packages as you would like and set it's variables, such as the duration, number of pictures, etc..
So for example you could create:
FREE SINGLE PHOTO AD
Duration: 7 days
Photos: 1
Price: $0.00

and another:
30 DAY 5 PHOTO AD
Duration: 30 days
Photos: 5
Price: $5.00

But it doesn't have anything built in that you can add to an existing package, like add another photo for $0.50 or add 10 days for $2.00 other than the built in "Upgrades" like Featured, highlighted or Bold.

Yes but it is going to be best served by creating a module to do it. Probably a module which allows the seller to upgrade his advert to another package without having to enter the details again. The problem here is one of economics. It is very uncertain how many people would want or need such a module. If you have the php skills you would be able to do this.

Thumbs up

I believe that offering customers the option to upgrade their ad without having to re-post would result in a happy customer and greater ad revenues... a win-win for both.

If creating a mod with this capability is possible, I would definately be interested in "investing" in the effort.
