Default us zipcode module issue

Hello,

I'm really trying to finish this site, and I'm getting close, but this us zipcode module is giving me an error. I've traced the issue to the update functions that places the zip from class_users into class_listings. This is not working properly. Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Drew Bolles

Do you have the latest version of the US Zip Code module? I believe there was a bug in the previous release that has been corrected.

I've reinstalled it twice. I have version 2.2 which I d/led from my download section. I assume that's the newest version. Maybe the $id is not getting passed correctly to pull the zip from class_users? Was that a bug in a older version?

Do you have any other modules which may be causing a conflict?

I'm using jquery edit module, recapthca, phbb user share, and the zip code module. Does it matter what order they're installed in? I can't imagine those four would conflict against each other. I'm thinking about getting the advanced address module or w/e, would that fix my issue?

Thanks,

Drew Bolles

Try uploading the zipcode module again and activating it. also clear your templates_c folder. Often there is FTP corruption on the transfer of files. More often than people would think.

All I can say is that we have a development system running the alternative address module with the zipcode module and have not seen any problems.

I've reinstalled the module from scratch twice now and still no luck. I even had it where it was the only module installed and couldn't get it to search by zipcodes. Why would the update function not work properly? Very weird. I guess I'll try and install the address module and see if that fixes it.

BIG question, Did you actually enter any zip codes into the NEWLY CREATED ZIP CODE FIELD in any listings? Upon installation of the module it alters the listings table by adding an additional zip code field. Any existing listings will NOT have anything in that field, because nothing has been entered. Therefore if you search using the field and no listings have anything in that field, it is NOT going to find anything.

That would probably help. When I go to manage listings and click on one to edit, it doesn't give me a zip code field. That's where it would be correct?

Have you looked in the admin as well? That the zip code cannot be filled in from there?
