Default SEO Module IE 6/7 Issue

Hello,

I've got the SEO module installed and have found an issue with my category links in IE 6/7. Firefox does not appear to have the same issue.

We have 3 main categories: Law Enforcement (5), Fire/Rescue (6), and EMS (7). I've setup links to these 3 on the home page and all subsequent pages. The link is formatted as such: <a href="category.php?cat=5">Law Enforcement</a>

With the SEO mod activated, clicking on a link on the home page goes to: http://www.mydomain.com/categories/5.html - However, once in the category, if I click on Fire/Rescue (<a href="category.php?cat=6">), the address bar URL displays as: http://www.mydomain.com/categories/categories/6.html and obviously generates a 404. If I turn the SEO mod off, it works ok. Firefox work fine. Why is it that IE 6/7 have a problem?

Please help, thanks,
Jonah

Can you try changing the links to absolute instead of relative and see if that fixes it?

That worked until I go into a 2nd level category. It's odd though because when I hover over the link it displays my absolute path. I guess the SEO Mod is overruling this though...

Any other ideas?

Thanks,
Jonah

Do you have this in your seo set up?

"'(?<!/)".URL."/category.php'",
.
.
.
"categories.html",

Secondly, what happens when you try to sort on a field in a category and you move between pages in that category. I presume you have enough listings to do this? In other words, your category has multiple pages of listings. I hope I am not confusing things here but I think it is part of a deeper problem when running showlistings.tpl ithat I have been trying to solve. My URLs get screwed up if I allow sorting.

Hi Seymour, thanks for your reply.

Yes, I do have those entries in my mod_user.php file and no, I don't notice a problem with the links after sorting. It appears to work for me.

Does anyone else have an idea of why this is not working correctly?

Thanks,
- Jonah

Default Any More Ideas?

Does anyone else have input on how to fix the SEO mod? If not I think I'll be getting a refund from Civ Group. Thanks for the assistance.
