seymourjames has a spectacular aura about
Default Thickbox popups

Having implemented the 'Thickbox' popop the pages will not validate XHTML if the Thickbox CSS stylesheet definition is placed in the viewlisting.tpl file as documented.

If the style sheet is linked in (placed) in the layout.tpl file it will validate but the normal CSS stylesheet seems to get corrupted.

<link rel="stylesheet" href="javascript/thickbox/thickbox.css" type="text/css" media="screen" />

Any ideas why.

You probably already checked, however just in case try checking to ensure that there are not classes and/or ids with the same name as that can cause anomalies.

Apologies for not coming forward sooner but I have abandoned the thickbox for other reasons.

For the record it reports an error that <link rel="stylesheet" href="javascript/thickbox/thickbox.css" type="text/css" media="screen" /> cannot be placed in the body of the page (i.e. if it is placed in viewlistings.tpl). If you put it in the head section using the layout.tpl all validates but it screws around with the normal formatting made by the standard stylesheet.

I could not find any clashes in between the two style sheets by the way. I think it is more likely to be a problem with the java.
