Default Openx messing up logo alignment

Hi there,

I have the following layout.tpl code which I'm using with openx to rotate a 468 by 60 banner @ the top RHS of my site.

For some reason though it seems to be messing up the logo alignment forcing the login link above it. I've played with it for ages but can't work out what the issue is, any ideas ?

CSS file has not been modified other than height of the header and small margin changes.

Thanks,
Mully

You have your openX code in the "top_info" id block. This is an id as defined in your CSS stylesheet which is for the username/login. Since you are including your ad with this as well (which is much bigger than the intended use for the block) it is screwing up your layout.

My suggestion would be that you create a new "id" or "class" in your stylesheet for a banner ad to be included in the header area of the layout. I would place this after your logo and use a float: right in your style definition. This way it should be to the right of your logo and below your "top_info". You may need to play/tweak it a little to get the positioning just right.

Got it working,

Thanks for the info and the Modifying Templates doc which has been extremely useful.

For some reason posting googlead scripted code doesn't cause the issues that the openx ad code does, even though the banners are the same size. To get it working I created a new area in the header beneath the #top_info and used it to display the login info. I then just used the original area for the logo and banner. If anyone is interested I can post the code.

Cheers,
Mully
