Default How do i change the logo on 68 auto red template?

Hello... I am desperate to figure out how I can change the pictures on the auto-red template... there is 3 on the main page that are pre loaded and they all say "pre-loved auto" in the picture or logo.I tried changing the pixels and just cannot figure out how to get the pictures in...

I am so new to this and Im trying soooo hard to figure out everything about web design that I swear I am dreaming about computer codes these days. I have an auto classifieds site up and running and I ended up having to use the purple template because I cannot figure out how to upload my logo and different pictures to my auto red template...and I spent soooo much time editing my auto red template....al that is left is the logo and pics and Im a happy man.. Im using the default template on my internet explorer because I had the "purple" template up and running on my internet explorer and for some reason at the bottom of the page it gave you the option, while being a guest, to change the template used for my site... so i changed it to default just to see if anyone using my site could change the template and I changed it to default while being a guest...so I went into the template editor and found the "templates" option at the bottom of the layout page...deleted it and now im stuck on default template while using internet explorer... I know Im going into 2 different issues here on the same post but that is the other problem that I am experiencing.

If anyone could help me with these issues, ESPECIALLY the picture problem it would mean the world to me. Thank you so much for reading about my problems and pleaseeee help if possible.

The images are likely either specified in the style.css file for the template your using or in the layout.tpl file you are using.

If you want to change images I suggest you take a look at the dimensions of the current images and create new ones to match thier dimensions. Then rename the original image files and upload your new ones with the same name as the originals before you renamed them.

As for your template issue I am not following you. When you say you were a guest and could change the template, are you sure you were logged out? If you log into the admin of your site then navigate to the front end of the site you will still be logged in as admin.

Hello,

In that particular template the logo makes up the border, the background and the text. To edit the text you will need to open up the psd file that came with your template, find the layer (or layers) that make up the 242 x 73 space where the logo is located, change the text to whatever you like, slice the logo area at 242 x 73 and then save all the layers within your slice as logo.jpg, replacing it with the original. You will need Photoshop to do this.

Same is true for all of the other images you want to edit. They can all be customized through the psd file.

Hope this helps.
