Ok.. one more thing...

instead of a url of http://domain.com/categories/north-austin-doctors.html
is there a way to prune that to http://domain.com/north-austin-doctors.html ?

Btw, thanks for the prompt replies. Your support is exemplary!

Not a problem and we try to stay on top of it.

Doing that can get pretty complex because the htaccess file uses "categories" as a way of knowing it is a category and not some other needed file.

With that said and if you have a manageable amount of categories you may want to just add each line to the htaccess file:
Code:
RewriteRule ^north-austin-doctors\.html$ category.php?cat=north-austin-doctors [NC]
Then once you have added it for all your categories alter the mod_user.php file and find:
Code:
"categories/\\1.html",
Then change to:
Code:
"\\1.html",
Keep in mind this has not been tested so backup before making any changes.

Does this mod work with Spanish ads?

Most Spanish ads have accents here or there... Will this mess up the SEO friendly URLs?

Im not sure on this one. I think there have been problems with this but im not 100%. Try typing 'spanish' into the search and it will bring related posts.

Within the last few months, the script has been using strictly UTF-8 for character sets. This should alleviate the character problems as displayed in a page.

As far as the SEO mod, it uses the category slug value that admin inserts when the category is created. So, just use the "unaccented" character when creating the category slug.
