Is there a way (in "state" dropdown) to show list of states / regions related to particular country?

Or at least make them listed separately from US states.

If I add state from any other country it will mix with US states wchich will create mess for end user.

so for example I could have list:

Alaska (which is in US)
Aukckland (which is in NewZealand)
..
Pensilvania (again US)
Queensland (Australia)

The best way from usability standpoint would be to show states / regions only related to particular country, so if I schoose US only US states are visible, if AU only AU regions etc etc.

....any way to soft it out some how?

Sounds like you need Maffo's Location module.
