Backup and Email Script

Attached is a script I use all the time and I thought I should share it with the forum.

This php script will generate a backup of your database and zip it up and email it to you as often as you wish.

I have it done once a day.

You must be running CPANEL for this to work

There is 6 fields in the script you need to configure it. They are in uppercase to identify them.

Once you configure the script, upload it to the server in ASCII to the directory above your public_html directory. This is for security purposes.

Then go to your cpanel and select 'Cron Jobs'

You will need to enter something like this...

/usr/bin/php /usr/home/username/classifieds_backup.php

Then select the frequency you wish to have the cron job run.

I have been using this script for about 6 years and it has worked flawlessly and saved my a** a few times.
