Default rewriting urls for search results

I want to add some links on the main page to predefined search results. Is there
a way to rewrite these urls and make them more search engine friendly? I have the SEO Module

http://www.yoursite.com/searchresult...t23=randomcity

How I want it to look
http://www.yoursite.com/randomcity-items-for sale.html

Yes this can be done. You would need to add a new line for each of these links to your htaccess file.

Something like:
Code:
RewriteRule ^randomcity-items-for-sale\.html$ searchresults.php?searchtext=&type=&opt23=randomcity [NC]
Then the server should process the search results as normal only displaying the special file name. This would not work for paging results on that page though.
