Post Gallery View

Description

The Gallery View Module appears in all showlisting pages. This will give you two tabs, one for the List view (default) and another for the Gallery view. When a visitor selects the Gallery view, the page will then show your listings in a similar fashion to the Featured listings plugin (as used in the default template home page), however with CSS styling. Each listing is contained within an outlined box and will show the title, thumbnail image and price. This will also maintain any "Featured, Highlighted" upgrades for the listing, however the text is bold.

The List view is set to use your previously chosen search results view from the administration. If the "Short Description" search results view was chosen, this list view is identical to the original except without the white lines that are in the normal short description display.

This module is incompatible with the Custom Cats Module and they can not be used together

There is nothing built in to support an additional tab for Google maps.

Several folks have already hit my demo site for the mod and it works for me too. What isn't working for you? Are you getting an error?

Looks great Mike, Well done.
The demo is working fine for me too.
Now all it needs is a dropdown box for changing how listings are sorted on the other side

I would pay double if it had that feature.
Cheers,
Nick

I actually already did that for one of my clients, not as a drop down, but as clickable links directly above the listings. The biggest issue with doing that is that you can not sort by fields that are not actually included. As the gallery view is limited to displaying title, image and price those are the only fields that it can be sorted by which is why I didn't include the feature in the module and of course you can't sort by an image.

I am looking at options to be able to include this function such as including the other fields, but just not displaying them.

Hi mike,

Maybe a weird question
But what is the positive about making this into a mod,
and not doing it just in the tpl file.

(because it is possible to make a tab in the tpl file, like i have done in my listing page)

The positive is that it's already a complete solution. You don't have to know how to code anything. If you paid someone to code it for you custom, I'm certain that it would be more the $30.00.

Hi,

thanks mike,
But i mean, what made you decide to make it into a module, instead of just editing the code.

Because people can just upload then click activate, less support, easier for novice users ect ect

@bowers01

Ok, right, but does it also loads faster because its a mod? (or no difference i.c.w. a code change)
