Description

If your an avid Twitter user or looking for more ways to market your site then this module is for you. It is a classifieds twitter feeder that enables your 68 Classifieds site to automatically make a tweet with each new listing added to your site. This is the first release of this module and it is considered beta. So use it at your own risk and report any issues to me.

Some of the features of classifieds twitter feeder are:

* Works automatically in the background. Set it and forget it.
* Uses the is.gd url shortening api service.
* It uses the status of the listing to determine if it should be sent. So unapproved listings will not be posted.
* Creates a field to flag which listings have been sent. This is to prevent any duplicates.

useful mod.
when i installed it, even In Active listings appear in my twitter. when I click the link in twitter, it takes me to the classified site for the listing but it says "ERROR: listing has already expired". How do I limit it to active listings only.

Eric,

This mod is great. I downloaded it on a Sunday and by Tuesday night had three or four followers already. I have already noticed a few people clicked through the Twitter site to my site. I haven't noticed any problems with the mod either. Keep the good ideas coming, that's why I like you guys!

hello Eric
i have installed this mod in my site but unfortunately it isn't work
i modified the setting file with my account and password but there isn't any listing in my account on twitter.com.
so any idea to avoid this problem ??

I don't use this mod myself, but the question I would ask you is if there have been any new listings added since you installed and activated the module. The module states that it will post new listings, therefore if you haven't had any new listings added since the activation of the module, there wouldn't be anything to post.

As stated in the Details of the description for the mod:
"Requires 68 Classifieds Version: v4.1.x"

Hi,

Ive been using the twitter module with no problems. Worked great. Approx 4 hours ago it stopped working, ive checked all files and reuploaded module but still not working.

I enabled debug, this is the resulting info

Attempting to tweet it...
Setting up twitter class...
Checking if the listing is already tweeted...
Display: Y Tweeted: 0
Trimming Title...
Shortening URL...
Sending Tweet...
ERROR: TWEET NOT SENT...

Has anybody else noticed it stopped working, maybe twitter have changed something to stop the api working?

Any help appreciated
