Default v4.2.2 upgrade error

Hey,

I just upgraded from v4.1.10 to the latest version and I got this error after completing the upgrade.

Fatal error: Smarty error: [in home.tpl line 47]: syntax error: unrecognized tag 'categories' (Smarty_Compiler.class.php, line 599) in /home/***/public_html/***/includes/classes/smarty/Smarty.class.php on line 1092

This error is shown on my front page.

Also when I went to do the upgrade I got this line of error on top of the upgrade page:

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/***/public_html/***/setup/includes/header.php:4) in /home/publito/public_html/test1/setup/index.php on line 48

Not sure if that had anything to do with it. I continued the steps and got a successful upgrade.

You can just ignore the second error.

The first error indicates that you must be using a custom template and it has an incorrect smarty plugin call in the template. Although the error shows the smarty class, that reference is just a reference to the method that creates the error message itself.

So open your home.tpl file and look for "{categories...}", that's what is causing your error.

Try deleting your /plugins folder and then replacing it with the /plugins folder from the 4.2.2 download.
