Default Color Pack for default template.

I wasn't sure whether to post this here or in the 'features request' section - please move if necessary.

I was hoping someone could produce some very simple variations on the default blue/green template. Perhaps red/grey, orange/cobalt, brown/cream - well you get the idea.

No changes to layout or anything like that, just an adjustment of the colors. I'd like at least four options (in addition to the current default). I'm sure it's not a terribly complicated job and I'd be happy to pay a fair price.

Thanks,

Mike

That would be very useful. I am not a designer by any means and when I want to change colors I just open the image in Fireworks and modify the hue / saturation until I get my desired color.

Not bad but they look pixelated.
I would also be interested in this if it was done properly.
I personaly think that 68c could do with a new template for 4.1

Agreed. I just don't know enough about the process to produce truly professional results. Adjusting hue and saturation can give some interesting results but it's no way to create sharp, vibrant, primary colors.

Any takers?

It is fairly long winded to do without the original source files (probably done in photoshop). Whilst altering the hue and saturating can work to some extent, it can also create other problems especially when altering the background on images. You can also arrive pretty quickly with images that lose their sharpness. This is not advertising but the templates from several suppliers ClassifiedMods Templates pretty much gives a good set of alternatives to choose from. Some templates are pretty close to the default look and feel.

That's my Green/Yellow color variation:

I use bigger buttons than the default ones. You have to figure out how to adapt them by yourself.

The point is that you will spend more time and effort (more cost) trying to do this than drawing them again properly in photoshop and exporting the correct jpgs, pngs and gifs. It is an amateurish way of trying to do it and you only end up with variable results across browsers.

If possible I will try to get hold of the original sources and make a complete set of colors properly. I will try to keep the cost down to under $15 a colour pack. That way the graphics end up perfect. Give me a few days to do that. I will announce it when it is done.
