Hi Guys,
Culd you tell me how i can loop just a few categories into one of the tds on the homepage? I'm going to hard code 3 columns and display a few categories in each one to squash them up below each other, hope it works

The problem with looping through categories at the template level is that you have no control over whats displayed unless you evaluate the value of each category as you get to it in the loop. Thismeans in essence you need to check for each and every category you have.
If your going to type out all of that, then you may as well just hard code links in your main category table. For example, mouse over a category link to see the URL and then use that URL in a new hard coded main page.
