Changing Folder icons

I would like to change the folder icons in the areas where they are linked to categories. I would like to have something like "if category=x then image=x.png". In this way each category, or even possibly subcategories, could show their own specific image when ever they appear.

I believe this needs to be done in connection with the following (from the home.tpl.php):

{html_table_adv loop=$data cols=$cols table_attr='width="100%"'}
[[start_link]]<img src='[[image]]' border='0' alt='[[name]]' /></a> [[start_link]]<strong>[[name]]</strong></a>
([[total]])

Can this be edited in Designer ?
If so where do I edit '[[image]]' and '[[name]]' ?

If I understood you correctly, why not to do it in admin? Just go to edit category/modify and upload picture.
