Default Renewal question

In "Step1" when renewing an ad, under "Payment Method", can the dropdown box for "Renewal" indicate not only the product cost (free or fee) that the ad is currently listed under as the selected renewal, (along with No Thanks), but also list the other products for that particular category that are higher in price than the one currently selected, if they haven't already purchased the highest price ad?

Don't know if this is possible, but if it is, it would possibly give the lister the opportunity, at renewal time, to choose a higher $ renewal, which would give them things like more photos, more text, etc.

Don't know if this is possible because of the other database items pertaining to each product that would also have to be changed for that particular listing, like # of photos, amount of text, etc.

Thanks.

This one sounds complicated. You could put a set of featured listings underneath quite easily and make the point that they might wish to be featured. If you were using our system you could display all the price packages or by a specific category on any page you fancy.

Thanks David. I thought it might be a complicated request, but I thought I'd ask. I do like your idea about putting featured listings right there on the renewal page. Might stir them to purchase one of the other three enhancements.

And yes I did purchase the TemplateCodes. I'm using several features of it including the alternative address module, which works really well. Have to look into implimenting the price package as well. I believe I have that. I'll have to look.

Thanks again for your suggestions.

Try just putting a set of horizontal listings on the renewal page. That is a good start.
