Can I change the information in the emails that are sent from 68 Classifieds to my website information? Like when someone registeres and they get the confirmation email, or when they get a notification someone has contact them about their ad?

I have tired to figure it out and still am not getting it done.

edit the template file in /templates/<template_in_use>/email/

I found that file but I guess I am not sure what to edit or how to edit it. Is there a tutorial somewhere I can read or watch on how to do that?

They are just text files so you can use a text editor like windows notepad.

The stuff in the file is either plain old text or html depending on which file you are editing.

The net is full of html tutorials.

The stuff in between curly brackets {} are smarty variables and are replaced with variables when the e-mail is sent. The name of the smarty variable should be indicative of what it will contain so chances are you want to leave most of them in place.

thanks so much for all the help. I have one other thing I need to figure out, how do I ad advertisments from other companies to the site? Is that discussed somewehre on here and I have missed it?

Generally people register and place ads, there is no automated method.

No I mean like banner ads on the side or top of the page. like header ads and stuff.
