These steps will help you set up Ioncube with GoDaddy.

1. Ftp into your account and create a new file:

• php.ini - If you are running php 4
• php5.ini - If you are running php 5

Only create this file if it doesn't exist

2. Next visit your website in a browser and visit: http://yoursite.com/ioncube/ioncube-loader-helper.php?page=install-assistant

Once this page loads you should see a section that says: php.ini file - /home/content/f/l/y/website/html/php5.ini

The full path is what we need for the next step.

3. Now open the .ini file we created in step one. If the file is blank add:

zend_extension = /replace/with/your/path/from/step2/html/ioncube/ioncube_loader_lin_5.2.so

If the file is not blank add that same line above just below the [Zend] line.
