Default >>Help Please!<< Site went blank

Hello,

I recently installed Ad Reporting and reCaptcha modules to my 4.0.9 developer website.

I deleted them after i found this. But my site went blank!

If i take my site offline, it's fine, it says we are updating our servers. Please check back later.

But once i take it off offline, it goes blank.

Any help would be appreciated.

If you have the Developer edtion try this:

Open includes/init.php and find:
error_reporting(E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE & ~E_WARNING);

Then replace it with this:
error_reporting(E_ALL);
ini_set('display_errors', 1);

That should then display the actual errors you are getting. If this doesn't work please submit a ticket.

Also in the future when installing modules always check to see what version they are for. I know the reCaptcha is min 4.1 but installing it should not cause this.

When you say that you deleted them, what exactly does this mean? Did you simply delete them from the webserver directory? If that's the case you, should put them back and then go to your admin and de-activate them. Then you can safely delete them from the webserver.

When you deleted them, did you also delete the required code within the templates? If not, that could be the issue.

Hey,

I tried your solution Eric and it did not work, just blank still.

And when i mean deleted, i went into the administration panel and deactivated it and then deleted it from the directory.

I'll submit a ticket.
