admin gone?

the admin record seems to have been removed (no admin in the class_users table). I have attempted to create another admin record by setting the level field to administration (1) and adding

a:6:{i:0;s:8:"listings";i:1;s:6:"orders";i:2;s:5:" users";i:3;s:8:"category";i:4;s:7:"payment";i:5;s: 8:"settings";}

to the adminCapaibilities field for an existing user via phpmyadmin.

While the user can log in as the admin on the v4.0.9 Developer; the account can only see the dashboard, forums and logout links once logged in. In other words the string in adminCapaibilities is not being parsed or changing ay of the feature set for the admin user.

Any help would be appreciated.

[and no, I have no idea where the admin user went. This whole thing happened after I added to modules to the application last night (SEOurl and zip) and both seemed to go in with no problems]

Actually we do have it installed. It is the little scale icon at the bottom under the user name.
