Guest post ad

Hi,
I searched the forum for this (which seems to me like someone must have asked this before!!) but I haven't found anything besides a post from 2007 with no replies and a post from 2008 re: someone who overwrote their files and allowed a guest to register but wanted to revert back to the default . Soo here it goes...

Is there a way that a guest can post an ad?

Nope, not without extensive modification.

Truth be told if you do not require people to register within months your site would be flooded with spam and you would be spending all your time deleting the spam unles you have a private website only available on an intranet or the likes.

Even in cases where registration is required, like this forum for example, there can be literally dozens of spam posts a day that get deleted.

In addition to what Lhotch has already indicated, how would a guest who hasn't supplied any contact information be contacted for an item posted?

Hi,

maybe i dont understand it correctly,

but what if you make two different checkout procedures,
one (with only the listing details) for the registered people,
and the second with an extra page, so the visitor (guest) can add his 1.name, 2.email, 3.phone, 4. place.

Sure, sounds easy typed out here, go ahead and create it. Then you can sell and support it as well.
