I just started my site and added a "free" package successfully, but am still unable to make listing. It says no packages have been defined.

Any suggestions?

When you create a package there is a section on that page where you have to select all of the categories that the package is valid for.

Thank you so much for your quick reply. I selected the categories I wanted and they are available to choose when creating a listing. However when I choose one and click continue it says "Sorry, no packages have been defined."

Inside administration you need to go to "payment" then "Manage Products" on this page either create a new package or modify an existing one. On the form page select the category you are trying to place an ad in.
