Default What is the advantage of upgrade to V4 and more...

Hi Guys,

I am using the V3.1.7 at the moment, what are the advantages to move to V4?

Also the module I purchased for V3, would it still work on V4? For example the Price Descriptor, No of user online, and Rss Feed modules.

Thanks,
Raymond

V4 added a lot of new small features and I would say is generally easier to modify.

As for those modules I would say you would need to contact the creators and make sure they have updated them.

Hi Eric,

Is there a comparison table between V3 and V4? That would make me and other people easier to know what new and improve things are on V4.

Also how is the performance and use of resources of using V4?

Thanks,
Ray

Here is the list of new features: V4.0.0 is now released. To actually write up a 'comparison' could be difficult and time consuming but am sure this link will answer your questions.

Because a lot of code has been tidied up or rewitten (which is the norm for professional software developers), you would not expect any decrease in 'speed'.
