Oh No! I broke my admin page!

HELLLLLLLP!

I was making some basic changes to the home page of my classified site today -- adding some banner graphics. One graphic was added with simple HTML to the layout.tpl.php file to show at the top of every page, the others were added to the side, in that middle area where you can change the HTML code via the admin panel...... at some point, somehow, I have no idea what I did -- but my regular admin panel is GONE -- instead I have this (screenshot): http://www.equestrian-classifieds.com/eqclassbroken.JPG which you will see is not how it is supposed to look.

Any help at all would be GREATLY appreciated!!!

It looks to me like you somehow modified the administration/templates/layout.tpl.php file instead of the one in your regular templates.

Upload the admin layout.tpl.php from your original download and try it.

I think you're right -- it has to be that I uploaded that file over the other one..... that was indeed the name of the file I had worked on earlier in the day.... AND.... until yesterday, at the top of the page where the logo is, it was showing the 68 classifieds logo/banner -- and now it shows what is on the home page of my site. Opening the layout.tpl.php file that is currently uploaded there (administration/templates) NOW -- it IS the correct file. But for some reason, the administration page is not calling that file when it opens, apparently.

However, since uploading the original file into the administration/templates folder has not fixed the problem -- I'm really at a loss here.

Tech support suggested that I had changed the language somehow to a language that wasn't there. But I don't think that is the problem -- and if it was -- I have no Admin panel to fix it anyway.

The only part of the page when I log into the administration panel that is correct, is the box that is titled System Overview -- and that does indeed have the correct information. However, that is the only part of the administration feature that is correct at this point.

What I would recommend is downloading a fresh version of the script. Then uploading all the administration/template/ files again and see if that sorts it out.

That's what I just did -- and then deleted the layout.tpl.php file -- and then uploaded a fresh version -- and that fixed it.
