Default Forum integration help

I installed a forum on my site; perhaps a bit hastily...

In hindsite, I am wondering if I should have utilized the same database as the classifieds script in order to be able to integrate user data (e.g. new user registering for classifieds is automatically registered for forum or visa versa).

I am also wondering how to go about accomplishing the aforementioned, however, I am afraid that it will be a bit over my head at this point.
Any coders out there willing to help - for a price?

You can see it here: www.motorcycle-place.com/forum

Thanks a bunch!

There are a few user share modules available at http://www.68mods.com/products.php?cat=9

None of these modules require the forum db and the classifieds to be the same. During the install, you enter your forum db connection values in the config file.

Hope this helps.

That's an excellent suggestion. However, I am concerned that those user share modules may not be compatible with the "useBB" forum script I installed.

Any idea?

The two usershare mods are for support of Vbulletin and phpBB.

As you don't have any posts except one in your newly installed forums, I would suggest switching. phpBB is opensource (GPL license - "free").
