Error after install complete

I just installed v3.1.5b and the install completed and now all I get is the following error (the xxxxx were edited by me prior to posting):

Warning: _compile_resource(/xxxx/xxxx/xxxx/xxxx/includes/classes/smarty/internals/core.write_compiled_resource.php) [function.-compile-resource]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /xxxx/xxxx/xxxx/xxxx/includes/classes/smarty/Smarty.class.php on line 1432

Fatal error: _compile_resource() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/xxxx/xxxx/xxxx/xxxx/includes/classes/smarty/internals/core.write_compiled_resource.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /xxxx/xxxx/xxxx/xxxx/includes/classes/smarty/Smarty.class.php on line 1432

The most odd part is that when I look at line 1432 it is a blank line prior to a php comment.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Mike,

That is a strange error. My guess is that the folder templates_c may not be CHMOD correctly. Can you double check that folder has read, write, and execute permissions?

You might also verify that all of the files were uploaded and have a size greater than 0 bytes. Some times FTP clients mess up and it usually gives some strange errors.

Yes, the templates_c folder is CHMOD correctly to 777. Yes, all files are there and not at 0 bytes.

Hi Mike,

Thanks for sending those details. I had a look and I found a few issues. It seems something happened when you where uploading the files and several files didn't get uploaded properly.

For example in the smarty plugins folder you have a file named:
function.feature_lis#16D537.php
which should have been uploaded as:
function.feature_listings_horizontal.php

Anyway everything looks in order now so please give it a test a let me know if you see any other errors.
