Compatible with both Designer & Developer Editions of 68Classifieds.

This module integrates with the listing view to display a configurable number of similar listings based on the category of the listing currently being viewed. The number of items shown (both a minimum and a maximum) is configurable via your 68C AdminCP. It also displays their thumbnails.

Configurable min & max settings for number of similar listings to display
Displays thumbnails of the similar listings it returns (can be deactivated at the template level if desired)
Includes its own admin area within your 68C AdminCP (to configure the above settings)
Automated install - only one line of code to insert into your template
Built-in update check that lets you instantly check our server for new versions
Includes a default template that you can modify to suit the style of your site

Which page is this mod intended to be viewed on Civ? Showlistings or viewlistings or both others?

Just an observation but can I say how well your site is put together, it looks very professional, is very clean and easy to navigate. The mod packages are real neat as well.

Hi Civ,

Just set up your mod and it works and looks great. Question, would it be possible to link this to searchresults? If a customer searches for a 1980 Honda Civic and nothing turns up it would be nice if your Similar Listings box appeared displaying any or all other Honda listings. If you have any ideas on this please let me know.

CIV - you mentioned 'category'. Does it also display a configurable number of similar listings based on the category OR subcategory of the listing?

Chaslie, for purposes of this module I use category and subcategory interchangably - similar listings will be pulled from the same category or subcategory of the listing currently being viewed.

.... so just to confirm that, if I have a 'category' of 'Accommodation' with sub cats of 'Apartments and Cottages', 'Bed and Breakfast', 'Holiday Parks', etc and if a user chose to look at a 'viewlisting' which is located within the subcat of 'Bed & Breakfast', they would see other 'Bed & Breakfast' ONLY entries?
