Default weird problem after receiving "hash error"

Yesterday, I went to log into the admin area and received the infamous "hash error" no problem though, just deleted the key.php file and all was fine... BUT

BUT since then ( and I am not sure it is related) when I go to my live site, the MAFFO news module is somehow deactivated... I need to go in and reactivate it before it displays.... it has happened twice now...

Any suggestions why this is happening>?

Well, the error you got was not due to the module - however it may have caused the module key.php file to go bad which forces the module to deactivate.

Just delete the modules/maffo_news/key.php and this should correct the problem. Be sure once you've deleted this file to not refresh the page but click on regenerate then activate. Browse to any other admin page and then come back to the module management and verify that the module is still active. If it is not active, post here and I'll look at your site and see if something needs to be fixed.

I did delete, but my concern is that I did do a regenerate and activate yesterday and it seems good until the next day.... as was the case this morning... the news should be displaying in the top left, but all that you see is the table heading "Tips / Latest News"

I guess I will not know now until tomorrow morning... but can anyone explain why this key.php, hash... etc. stuff is happening?

Okay.... I just logged in and saw my news is not displaying again! I did delete all files indicated for the hash and Maffo_news mod, but it seems that the next day I have to it all over again! THIS IS A PROBLEM!

Maffo, can you help here???? Why would the news_mod have to be reinitiated and reactivated everyday since I received a hash error.... I need to have this fixed or resolved - PLEASE...

Default Hash error

I used to have version 3.0 (Developer) - was only able to login successfully for about a week. Have not been able to login for months - no changes were made - login just stopped working. Not getting any response for support.

Have upgraded to 3.1.5, go to login, go the "remove install directory" notice, removed the install directory- still getting error when loggin in as Admin.

Please help - I'm desperate!!!

The hash error is one made for the licensing code in 68 Classifieds, our modules don't generate this error and shouldn't effect that aspect of the classifieds at all.

Have you deleted yoursite.com/license/key.php? If so you need to create a ticket so they can reset your license at their end or inform you about the situation that is causing this error.

Couple questions for you...

Can you log into admin side of site?

Can you login to front end with your user admin login pass?

Can you register as a new user and login to the front end?

If you would, PM me a link to your website.
