Apologies if this is in the wrong place. Basically, I have just redesigned my website and would like to include a blog on the index page. I have installed wordpress in a subfolder & was just about to have a go at editing my template to include the blog. But before I did that I thought I'd check if anyone has run wordpress & 68classifieds together and if there are any known compatability issues? Many thanks in advance

Or even better... has anyone developed a blog mod for 68 classifieds? I am failing miserably at integrating a wordpress blog into my 68 classifieds template

As far as I know, you will need to run the two scripts separate from each other. I do it on a number of my sites.

Depending on your goals, you should be able to bring in some blog post lead-ins via RSS.

For design, it should be quite easy creating a WordPress template of the classifieds to match your blog.

Hello thank you, I guess the solution is to edit the wordpress template to match that of my website.

I PM'd you with a sample of what can be done with both scripts working independently of each other.

Best of luck with the new design !

Hi there, I was wondering if anyone could help me with getting this right. My 68 classifieds site is here: http://www.horsesharesuk.co.uk and my wordpress blog is here: http://www.horsesharesuk.co.uk/blog (work in progress)

I was wondering if there was a way to export the vertical featured listings that show in the right side bar on the 68 site and display them in the same way on the blog. I saw that there is a tutorial to do this but I only have Designer and believe you need Developer. Is it a no go?

Additionally I have the Login/Register link at the top right of the page, which changes to "Welcome [username]. Private messages: ......" when someone is logged in. And in the left sidebar I have Member Navigation, which shows as "Login / Place An Ad" when someone isn't logged in and changes to "My Account/ Place an Ad/ View Favourites/ Modify an Ad/ Logout" when someone logs in. Is there anyway to do this on my blog site to match it in seamlessly?

    Thank you in advance.

Thank you for your help. I didn't think that the login/register would work but thought I would check first. Will the tutorial work for someone using 68classifieds Designer? I noticed it says developer is required.

Sorry, I missed the part about the Designer/Developer edition.

Yes, you will need the Developer edition for full customization of the feed, otherwise you can work with the feed in its stock form.

You must be running an older version of 68C, as I believe you can only purchase the developer version now. I would highly recommend updating to the latest version if you can swing it

Thank you. I have been using 68classifieds since 2006 and had no idea that they switched to just the developer. Will give your tutorial a go
