Hi I am just loving 68 Classifieds but want to get my pages indexed. Have looked at the SEO module but it says that this will only run on an Apache server? My site is hosted on a virtual server with Windows as to OS, will this mod still run on this server or are there any alternatives I can use to get my pages SEO friendly please.
The SEO Module relies on Apache's mod_rewrite module. I'm sorry but it's not possible to use the SEO Module on other web servers. Keep in mind that search engines have been able to cache URI's with query strings for the last few years. So, your page's will be recognized and cached. However, if you're looking to optimize your site by including content-relative URI's, I'm just not familiar with a method on how to do this on a Windows Server.
If you are interested in having your pages indexed quickly and easily, I would recommend burning your site's RSS feed through Google's FeedBurner and then enabling the PingShot option which notifies Google anytime there is a new listing posted on your site.
