    Please describe in detail the issue you are having:

    Hi all,

    I'm brand new to 68C, upgrading my site from another software... Getting to grips with it pretty quick, however I've just got a question about payments...

    Does this system allow for the user to pay (with PayPal for instance) automatically at the end of creating the ad? Or do I always have to manually approve the ad before they can make a payment?

    I've setup the PayPal gateway, set manually approve to 'No' but I seem to have to intervene everytime...

    You should be able to handle payments automatically from paypal - do you have a paypal IPN set up?

    Hi seymourjames,

    I'm not sure I have IPN - I have a Paypal business account. Previously, in the old software, as soon as you entered the details for your ad and hit "make payment" it would take you to Paypal to carry out the transaction, then it would send you back to a confirmation screen and put the ad online automatically, is this how it works here?

    And that is what should be happening now. Have you configured the Quick Checkout module for the paypal gateway? Is the paypal email correct in your payment gateway set up. Have you put that email in your paypal IPN email setting?

    OK I've got it all setup now as you said, that is:

    My paypal email in the 68C settings - set to Active (and not Demo)

    IPN configured with http://www.mydomain.co.uk/paypal.php

    Now after I do the ad (as a non-admin user) - I just get:

    Thank you for placing an order at our site.

    and an email with detail and status:

    Completed Pending Approval

    Any other tricks?

    I've also just tried the debug, but the email didn't come through...

    I've followed the instructions in the documentation exactly...Auto Return also turned off in Paypal...

    Any suggestions for this? It's really the basis of the Classifieds site, so I'd quite keen to get it resolved before moving on...

    the site is JSpecs.co.uk | Japanese Car Import Classifieds for Sale UK - under developement still but if it's easier to make an account to see what I mean then please do!

    Are you paying at paypal or just quitting once you reach paypal. It won't be approved unless the payment is made via paypal, in which case paypal will send back a response which is checked to approve the ad. If you have the manual approve listings turned on in the settings it will require you to manually approve the listing.

    If you submit a support ticket, with your ftp details and an admin account I can login to your site and see if I can find the problem.

    It's ok, this is sorted now... I think I must have had something cached that was just bypassing PayPal altogether...
