Hi, Here are the missing functionality that I want to add to 68 classifiendsr: Multisite management from one admin - there will be 4 or 5 web sites in different countries with personal domeins. The management of the websites have to go from one admin. I do not need the search to give results from all the websites. The results have to be only from the local website. SMS gateway integration - Atlas Interactive Deutschland GmbH Payment by Classified Status - there will be 3 type of ads, Gold, Silver, Free. There will be similar to gumtree.co.uk 5 featured position on each listing page. The firs tree will be for gold ads, next two for silver ads. Afterthat on the home page will follow the rest gold ads, followed by the rest silver ads and free ads. Equal impressions for the gold ads - the rotation of the ads have to be organized in a way that the gold ads to receive equal impressions for a equla time on the web site. Integration of a new theme 10x in advance for any asap answer and feedback about the project requirements.
Hi Apo, By the way im not a developer so cant create any of the above for you. But even as an observer I can see that the bulk of your above requirements are a mammoth task. Multisite management from a single login point. This could be done I guess using a drop down box, but if I am understanding you correctly you dont even want this. You want to login once see all the listings across all 5 sites or drill down into a site by site basis... SMS gateway integration... ill leave that as I wouldnt know and even impressions of ads.... this I dare say would be too beyond 68c without re-writing half of it. But again im not a developer, but as someone who has been working in the sector as management id say it is a little too much unless you were willing to pay mega bucks...
Big job Big budget. Core code changes to the admin panels located on each site but where you as admin are presented with a choice within each admin panel which connects to the different databases and effectively swaps admin panels following a single login. Will likely need handling of cookies so login again is not required. Not infeasible to do but likely to be complicated and difficult to maintain/support as upgrades are made. Custom payment module required. There are some docs around about doing that. No it will not work like that without major modifications. You are trying to create different advert types and completely change the way in which 68C works. 4 types of advert exist. Featured, bold, highlighted and normal. You can of course make combinations of these. What you cannot do with out a major rewrite is give precedence to listings created with different advertising packages. You would be into a really major customisation if I understand the requirement correctly. Moreover, no you cannot guarantee equal time of display for different ads. Typically the process of showing ads in say a horizontal block is done randomly. This requirement is just not likely to be feasible without rewriting large chunks of the core code.
