Just thought I would drop this into the forum for those seeking to improve the linking strategy to their site either for viral marketing or SEO reasons. I would highly recommend you take a look here Web Traffic : IM Expert at the article called LinkWheeling Brief Intro. I just created an example here property in france to start promoting my classifieds sites and are busy going round the wheel. When all is done I will go back and improve the content of course but it is important to get those external links pointing to your site if it is part of your marketing strategy to have search engine visibility. It takes only a few minutes to set sites up on these networks and you can easily make multiple wheels. It will be interesting to see the results for my classifieds site as the wheel gets all its spokes.

    Hey,
Thanks for that it looks excellent. I just made a page on Squidoo : Welcome to Squidoo but how did you get the images to show up on your rss feed?
Mine just shows the title and description.

There is an option in the modules available on the RSS feeds to grab all the content including images. Now that is worth a link in your squidoo to my link above.

Wow that did not take long at all with the the Squiddo page getting indexed by G in only a few hours. Role on-to the next spoke - french property for sale . Let me know of your results Nick. Have you checked that your page got indexed. I am really hoping that others try this as I feel sure it is going to help them and it is so easy to do.

We have two French wheels going. I see no reason why you cannot do it in French or any other language.

I am not saying this is a panacea or replacement to all normal marketing but I think it can add some value for a small effort. The other thing which is nice about the idea (I am selling TemplateCodes here ) is with the external listings and external results modules you can even embed them too in these types of pages and have control over what gets shown. I am going to do that next. It creates a lot of possibilities to drive traffic towards your classifieds sites. The second spoke for me in the wheel got indexed as well in only a couple of hours.

Okay just to make sure I understand correctly. Let's say I create a blog on squidoo, do about 4 or 5 links that direct to my main website and then I decide to make another blog with blogger and do the same, am I also suppose to link squidoo with blogger? Because from my understanding I think that is what I am suppose to do, is this correct? Also, how do you check if your blog is indexed by google?

    My second spoke: Hubpages

This is taking a lot longer then I thought, hopefully it will be worth it lol. Also hugpages do not accept French blogs, but there is a way around this, you just have to create a text module with some English in it and it will allow it to be published.

I think we have the idea now.
