    Hi,

I want to install elgg community script,
And it also usses a .htaccess file.
But because i use the seo mod, my copy of 68classifieds also usses a .htaccess file.
Even though i installed in onto a subdomain,
do i have to join the two .htaccess files into one on the main directory,
or does a server supports several .htaccess files on several subdomains.

P.S. the subdomains are displayed as a map in my direct path ..../damiun.nl/public_html (/www.community.)

It depends what you wish to do exactly. In principle, you can have different .htaccess files in subdomains or in subdirectories. Subdomains are pretty much completely independent of the main domain so your main .htaccess is unlikely in your case to have any effect.
