Overview Google Adsense Classifieds Module

The google adsense module allows you to set google adsense ads easy and in the way that would you expect to have when you use smart template engine and 68 classifieds. You have a admin module where you manage your publisher codes. Every publisher code will get a id in the database table for this module. In the layout you can set the width, height and slot for a google adsense ad. When you set the id from the above table, you choose the publisher code also. If you don't enter any id, the system use the first publisher code that is found in the table. When you have add your publisher code into the database just add the adsense code in this way to template files where you wish to have the google ads:

Installation

Please install the code in the directory modules. You will got this directory structure with files in there:

There are 2 directories and 9 files.

Please install the file from the plugins directory function.google_adsense.php to the includes/classes/smarty/plugins/ directory.

After the installation, go to administration panel, modules section and click the regenerate button. You should see the Google Adsense Mod now. Click on initialize, to install the database tables and configuration. In the admin part set your google adsense "pub- code". Thats all. Now you can use the adsense code in the way described above. Here once: When you have add your publisher code into the database just add the adsense code in this way to template files where you wish to have the google ads:

Yes, tested and works for all version before 4.1.X.

Not sure why I missed this originally but very cool module and thanks for sharing.

A sincere question here. What is the point of incorporating Google Adsense into your classifieds site? I can't see how the small amount of revenue you might earn will compensate for the users who drift off-site to make purchases elsewhere.

I know I must be missing something, what is it?

Google check/cheque

To be clear, when you guys refer to Google checks are you referring to what a Brit like me would call a cheque, i.e. a payment from Google. Or are you referring to a check of your website that Google makes as a result of your use of Adsense?

Hope I'm not coming across as too thick here . . .

They are meaning a check as in making money from Google.
