I'm running v4.2.4 After installation, I get this error: Fatal error: Smarty error: [in layout.tpl line 19]: syntax error: unrecognized tag 'modulehook' (Smarty_Compiler.class.php, line 599) in /home/quinninc/public_html/includes/classes/smarty/Smarty.class.php on line 1092 tried uploading the file again, but still get the same message. Any ideas?
Unfortunately, it's common for files to get corrupted when uploading. Not sure which file you uploaded again, but it sounds like one or more of your files somehow got corrupted when you uploaded them. I would sincerely doubt that it is the layout.tpl file though. It is more likely one of the library files. I would suggest re-uploading the entire "includes" directory/folder again.
I re-uploaded the entire "includes" folder as you suggested, and still got the same error. So I re-uploaded the entire administration directory. That didn't work either. Any other suggestions? I do have a special character in my database password. Could that mess things up?
Nevermind! Re-uploaded the plugins directory and that did the trick. Thanks for your help! I have a feeling this won't be my last question....
