    Update:

I seem to have finished all of the user interaction messages based off of their input, this was very important because you want to be able to express to the user what to do if something goes wrong, or if they are entering bad information.

This can be seen at the demo:

Location By Zip Code Demo by TheTechGuru

Try inputting good postal codes for the US UK and Canada 90210, and then try putting in all spaces, or 00000, or 11100 (<--Actually a valid code, but since the demo doesnt allow Mexico signups unless I choose to, it tells them so)

Have fun with it and run it through the wringer, the more its tested the better off the modification will be.

btw I am setting the max uses to 50 so you can see what happens when a person is potentially abusing the system. If you run into that message and want to keep testing, simply open a new browser and your sessions will be reset.

Now the data doesnt start a query unless the input is great than 5 and less than 11, so every 5th character you input will count as 1 query. every letter over 5 and under 11 counts as 1 query. This is done to reduce the load, even though their really isnt any type of load. 6 characters and backspace counts as one query. If you completely wipe the zip field and start over, the 5th character again counts as a query.

The max amount of times a person can continue to use the system, changes depending on what character they are at, which is a good thing. The normal setting for max uses, before its considered abuse, is around 75 at most in my opinion.
  2. Is this available to buy yet?

    Not yet

Im still working out the details on how to distribute it, and being able to fully provide support. This modification is a snap to install to your site as is, yet so customizable that a support system needs to be in place to show what can be done with it.

Im working that aspect of it out as we speak, and will have more information very soon.

The list of available countries (each can use their own respective languages or US as a default) can be found here:

    Added:

Just Added a Demo that returns results in the French Canadian language.

Added mapping system to the very first(top) demo... Also we worked out distribution and support.

This modification will be available for purchase through TemplateCodes.com soon.

I would like to give a quick Thank You to seymourjames over at TemplateCodes.com for agreeing to handle distribution and support of this modification. He has been a great help as many of you have probably already experienced for yourselves.

Distributing this through TC means that not only will you receive a great modification that has been tested to meet its intended functionality, it also means you will have a kick butt support system behind it in case you have the need for such a thing.

    Stay Tuned....

Just to confirm TechGuru's post. This superb application will be sold separately to work with any template. It should be available within the next couple of days at most from the TemplateCodes website.

In addition, many of the existing TC modules are going to be sold separately (downloadable) via a new site which should be ready within a couple days.

    How is this mod coming?

I have not heard from Techguru for a long time and the module in terms of how TC roll out products was never finished - we found a glitch in it that was never resolved.

Actually, not so much a glitch, as its a tad difficult for the general public to grasp right away. But with a good hour or two, playing with it, it should be a snap to get it going.

It will work on any website really, I geared it towards 68c when writing it, and it is easy to mess with once you understand it, its just not something I have time to make simpler, in order to offer it for sale.

HOWEVER, I am running a crowd funding campaign right now, and I will give it freely to anyone who contributes to helping make one of my other projects come true. I put the link in my signature, feel free to check it out. Anyone who contributes 10 bucks will get it.

Its really good enough to release, its just not quite plug and play like you guys are used to. Not to mention, I can easily create a support topic, and walk everyone through it. Very simple to edit to your needs, for almost any country, will work with any country google supports (see clippersnip.com for a list of those countries)
