    Hi
I don't want browsers to see the ad submitters address. I also am charging people to put in ads, but those ads do not have a price, they are just listing the address of the sale, so I don't want to see the price of what they are selling, because it will always be zero.
Can those views be toggled off?

You can remove the address and price field from the template file manually if you like..

Thinking outload...being a garage sale site, not showing the address of the sale doesn't make any sense.

It would seem like that, but the person placing the ad may not be at the address of the sale. I have the sale address listed elsewhere.

I guess as long as you have the address listed somewhere, that will work. We've run garage sales on a community site for the past 6 years and I can't recall that someone has ever placed an ad for someone else at a different location...though I guess it is possible

    Good luck with the site!

I guess the larger part of this is that the script insists on showing the address of the person who places the ad. If I was placing an ad in the newspaper to sell a bike, I would not want my address showing unless I wanted it to show. (am I missing something here?)
And as for garage sales, I would agree, but we are also looking for Estate Sales, which might be organized by companies who do not "live" at the address of the sale. I'm surprised that you have had ads running for so long and never encountered a young person who runs an ad for a parent's sale in another town.
I appreciate the feedback. Could I check out your site?

I guess, if you're expanding into Estate Sales and so on, its probably good to do what you're doing...then you shouldn't run into any problems with addresses .

I've PM'd you a link to check out our site.

It would probably serve you well to take some time to go through the online documentation for 68 classifieds.

Not showing the address and/or other seller information is done in the administration settings for the user settings and/or the user groups. If you actually want to eliminate the Price label and field, then as already suggested, that would need to be done in all of the templates files you don't want them in, such as the show listings and viewlistings.
