Hi, So i haven't been around here for quite a while, way to many other projects going on. Anyways planning to get back to work on my site, but im a bit confused about what has happened. Im running v4.1.10, i hit a dead end when v5 came out as there was no way i was going to re-do everything i had done, but now looking in the forums it appears v5 has gone and now v4.2 is out. Does v4.2 use smarty? Or is it really v5 just called v4.2? Will all previous modules work on v4.2? I have to pay for the subscription so i cant just download and check for myself. Cheers, Nick
Its basically a straightforward upgrade. Still using smarty etc. However, if you are using modules, you should check they are going to function. TC modules for example had to be upgraded between these versions. The old ones became incompatible.
