I have personally been going at 68 classifieds for quite a while now with TemplateCodes but still I know there is much to learn and feed back is always a good thing. I would be grateful for comments on the following sites. An English, French and Italian version of the same basic idea. The only structural difference between them is the use of a filter in the italian site to easily manage property sales (Vendita) from rental properties(Affito). We will probably include that functionality too in time on the English and French site. The Italian site actually making use of the listing filter that we market in a special format. Each site has been completely optimized for search engines and they make use of what I consider was the most important functionality offered by TemplateCodes. I really do hope that these provide further proof of what can be achieved with 68 classifieds and some specific customizations. In all, there is only one core 68C file that has been changed. The rest has been achieved through template modifications and use of a few modules. In time, I will be reducing the adsense content and introducing a paid membership model. any ideas on marketing also will be most welcome. These sites are certainly placed in a verycompetitive market.
Hi, My only criticism is that the pictures on viewlisting are too small. On a lower res screen it is fine, but if viewing on my monitor that is 1080p they look rather small. Apart from that they look excellent Regards, Nick
Thanks Nick. This is a tricky one as I had quite a few old adverts to transfer over to prime the site. I did not have the original data so it kind of forced my hand. h In addition, in this case I decided not to use a jquery gallery type view or light box effect. Instead I focussed on SEO and making plain images with embedded alt tags. Its a good point though. Not sure yet of a good solution. For these sites I was looking to make a clean design on a single page layout.
