Default Ad renewal edits

I am using designer version 4.1.10
Placing an ad is not a problem. But if I choose renewal, I have all sorts of stuff I don't need-
Billing info (ads are FREE)
Payment method (ads are FREE)
I don't need to confuse people renewing ads by having all this here. There MUST be a way to remove these in the designer version, but where?
Thanks.

These would be modified in the checkout template files in your template folder.

I don't see them there for renewing an ad. Only for new ads. Why it has billing information and payment methods when they're free is beyond me. This only shows up for renewals. Where else might I look for this?

Umm, because MOST people actually charge for their ads. You can also have free ads, but charge for upgrades. That's why.

I don't see a renewal folder in my templates. Using TemplateCodes. And yes, I understand about the upgrades, but if you don't have any packages that charge anything, I would have thought it would read that and skip the whole billing / payment thing. It's not MY choice to not charge
Where else might I look for this? I'm stumped. Thank you for your assistance. I do appreciate it.

These templates are not supplied like many others by Templatecodes. They are in the default template folder. It is called RENEW.

In general templates work in a hierarchy. If the specific template file does not exist in the main template (i.e neo or sigma for example), the system will look in the default template for it. This is why it is so important to always keep an unmodified and clean version of the default template in your templates folder.
