remove Email A Friend

Is there a option to complete remove the funtion of Email A Friend

Login to your admin and select "Users", In the "Registered Users", choose "NO" on the line that says, "This Usergroup can email a friend". Do the same for any other groups you want to not have this option shown like "Guests" although I think that the default for that group is "NO"

I'm not sure how anyone could access that url if there are no links to it.

Just curious, what is the reason you don't want people to use this function..it's a very powerful way of driving traffic to your site.

Interesting...I wouldn't expect spammers would be going through the email a friend form because it doesn't go anywhere unless you actually take the time to enter all the information including the email address you want to send it to. I would recommend looking at your contact forms for spam abuse and update to the reCaptcha module.

the function is checkform(frm) so it is the same as the contact form
