Default Editing the New Listings Page

Hi all,
I am just working through some customisation of the default template but I can't find where to change the new listing page

If anyone would be able to shed some light that would be fantastic.

If I am understanding you correctly, then it should be /templates/template_name/viewlisting/showlistings.tpl.

This is the page that displays search results for Everything, if I am remember correctly. Editing this will change all result design sitewide.

You can use the smarty debug consoile to see what template is in use for any given page. See the online documentation via the "support" link at the top of the forum.

What you will see is the showlistings.tpl template file is used for a number of purposes. For example, new listings, category listings, search results, toplistings, etc. It does not have one use so if you make changes to it then it will affect what you see if you make a search or list out all the featured listings etc.

There are ways around this but it does require programming to identify the special cases (what script is being run) and then to do different things depending upon what script is using the showlistings file.
