Quick search categories translation

Hello,

I have just installed the quick search module and everything works fine...the only problem is that the categories are only displayed in english and the web site is also in spanish and french.

The variable I use normaly to translate is not working in that case and in particularly when I use it in hook.php file.

I don't understand where the problem is coming from as the text label are translated automaticly.

I must add that I have the multilinguage installed for my translation.

Maybe someone got the same problem as me and sort it out?

Is this something to see with a global variable?

Puzzling because the module is pulling through using the same ajax. Send a ticket with all your details FTP and admin panel and we can perhaps take a quick look.

The problem is I am working on local host.

The multilingual module doesn't use hooks as it it sort of built in the 68c, it is more a part of 68c than a module.
The module uses original database

Do you know how to get a $lang variable into the quick search module?

We do not possess the multilanguage module so would not know where to start. You will need to make a demo system and send FTP details for us to even begin looking at what might be needed. In general, templatecodes uses one language file defined in the templatecodes module.

As I am still working on localhost, I propose to send you the multilangual module and like that you will be able to see how it is code writen.


there is a $lang variable created by the multilingual module, if I call global $lang; in for example Categories.php or other scripts the $lang variable is well known, but I can't get that variable to work in the quick search module in the hooks.php code.

how to get a global variable in a hooks.php module file? I think this is the problem. If you can have a look at the multilingual module, maybe you can help me.

I think you are misunderstanding. I don't want you to send me this module. You load it up on a test system and send FTP details.

What does that mean exactly test system"?

It means if you don't have a live system then make one so it can be tested.

Have you contacted the developer for the multi-language module that you are using? From reading through your posts, it doesn't seem as though this module is following the standards of 68 Classifieds for it's development which may be the cause of the issue that you are experiencing.

The prices module was designed to work with unaltered core files, source code and dB tables. We're always willing to offer suggestions, however your best support for your issue may be with the developer of this other module.
