My post said searchresults.tpl and I gave you the line. It did not mention the module called external or the code you showed. You are trying to use the module called search_results

OK, I'm confused. The original poster, CCS named the thread "external listings" and posted this question regarding the external listings module.

The search results module is a different module then the module that ccs was asking for assistance with isn't it?

It looks like the issue regarding the "target" is actually in the external.tpl file (Yes in the external listings module folder) on the very last line within the call to the css_listings_horizontal plugin as it is "target=true"

Try either deleting that, so it isn't sending anything (default in the plugin sets it to "_blank" if it is empty) or set it by changing "true" to "_blank" USE the quotes, because it is a string.

I believe that should resolve your issue.

For some reason I got confused as to the module. You are correct. There are two modules

ClassifiedMods External Search Results Listings Module

and

ClassifiedMods External Listings Module


The one he is talking about as you correctly point out from the original code is the External listings module. Perhaps I should rename it to be clearer. For me, the module targets a new window by default . However your advice is sound thanks for picking that up. Time for a break.
