Default tc_site_map

Hello,

I am trying to install tc_site_map module and everything seems to work fine.

The question is, as my site is in English, French and spanish, is there a way to get url in those other languages or it is not necessary as one language is enough?

Thank you for your answer

I don't think it is possible to answer your question because we can't know what the structure of your site looks like with regard to how adverts are formed - one url per language per advert, one url for all languages per advert? To be frank why don't you run it and test it. Its like 1 minute to see what it does. The module is designed to list all of your viewlisting urls but it is not designed to go off to every linked page if it is outside of a standard 68C system.

Thank you for your reply.

I run the module and evry url shown is in english like for exemple

1 - http://www.my-site.com/category.php?...rties-for-sale or

2 - Second Hand Classified Ads in All Spain | Schoollege Classifieds Penthouse con vista al mar

If I go to the first url in the site and I swith to Spanish language the url becomes:

http://www.my-site.com/category.php?cat=propriedades-en-venta

The name of the category change to spanish but the ads remain the same.

In fact, all the ads in the categories remain the same, in different language.

The site is supposed to rich first spanish people and in second english people. So, is there a way to swith all the urls from english to spanish and if yes how can I do that? or it is not so important as the same url translated in different language will display the same page anyway?

Thank you for your advise and help in advance.

I don't think the module is going to support what you have done in all languages. If Spanish is your main language then your 68C admin should be set to Spanish and your templatecodes language folder should contain a spanish.php file too.

The point is do your categories exist in all languages in the database or are you rewriting urls on the fly?

Hello David,

Thank you for your answer.

In PhpMy Admin if I edit 'class categories' I can see for each english category the spanish and french correspondant category as spanish_slug, spanish_name and french_slug, french_name. So, I supposed that means they are stored in the database.

The easiest thing to do is try. If it does not work then those categories are not being stored in the usual manner and you would need to modify the module. In other words do they appear on your admin control panel in the normal way with a category ID number?

Make spanish your main language if you want the urls to be resolved in spanish by the module as mentioned in the previous post.

Yes you can. Take the output file and add them in. Then submit to google.

Thank you David.

I followed instructions written in your module:

I have edited http://www.schoollege-classifieds.co...od=tc_site_map and copy all the urls in a file which I called: sitemap.xml.

The location of the file now is : www.schoollege-classifieds/sitemap.xml

I understood that the process is not finished yet and that I have to submit the sitemap now to google.

So, I went on Google Webmaster Tools and ...now I am a bit lost!! I red everything and I am a bit confused.
It is probably simple but I still not have found the right way to submit my sitemap to google!!

If you can give me a little hand I will be very gratefull. Thank you.
