Modifying listing detail form

Please describe in detail the issue you are having:
Hello all. Ordered 68 earlier this week. We have a straightforward site with few mods that we've got to a point where we can start using it. Two things I couldn't figure out: 1. When a registered user is entering a listing, he comes to Step 3, listing details. How can we change the default field label? For instance, change Title to Heading? We'd also like to add a short description of what a user should enter in a particular field. I took a look at the Smarty website and while conceptually I see what it is, I'm not sure how to use it. I've got it on my "to do" list, but right now I've got a couple other thngs going that take precedence. I'm not a programmer or developer. Thanks in advance.

All the strings used in a standard system are contained in the language file - languages/english.php .

To add a new message, you will probably need to edit the appropriate template file. In this case

templates/yourtemplate/checkout.step3.tpl
