Please describe in detail the issue you are having:
I know that Eric said that�s the way sorting works, but I really want someone who can help how to do the sorting works like all other sites out there.

The way sortings are working now doesn�t make sense for me or any other users. The users will never think about this story of cookies and yes they will think that the website doesn�t work as expected.

I want to find a way to make featured always on top but a way that does not affect other site functions. Somebody posted a way to do that but it didn�t work for 4.1.8.

Just remove the sorting links from the top of your showlistings.tpl file. THen they will always display as you have set them in your admin control panel.
