v4.1.6 Designer

These emails WORK
#1 Thank you for registration email is sent
#2 Email a friend email is sent.

These DO NOT WORK
#1 Contact Us Email
#2 Contact the Owner Email

What am I missing?

Are you getting any errors or is it just not sending.

Can you try and create a new listing and maybe use a gmail account for the users email. Or just a totally different email and see if that works?

Also who is hosting your site?

yep you found it...the site will NOT send an email to the domain of the website.

the website is: GunListUSA.com

and it wont send any emails to @gunlistusa.com

oh and I'm using www.estreet.com as my host. I have contacted them...it maybe because I had them adjust the MX records so I could use Google Apps and the email controller???

Apparently a well know issue. It closes a security problem for the hosting provider. Are you on Hostagator by any chance? Same issue drove me crazy for ages on a zen cart earlier this year.It is there for good reason.

E Street Communications, Inc.- Internet Access, Web Design, Web Hosting, Voice (VoIP) Solutions is my host. They are awesome.

I had them adjust the MX records, SO I could us Google Apps to control the email address etc.

That made the server not know it was to handle the email on that server appropriately...so EStreet made some tweaks and BANG...I'm back in service.

From my host:
"In this case, since the server has to know its not responsible for mail � wasn�t set right"

That is great news and glad to see the host sorted it out. From the response you gave us they seem to be a good host to deal with. So many times the only response they give is it's the scripts fault.
